about us

MIT ABSK Grad is a group of graduate students and alumni committed to creating a friendly environment to learn about, or grow in, the Christian faith. We seek to experience koinonia–which means “fellowship in Christ” in Koine Greek–and to share our spiritual walks with one another through Bible study, social gatherings, prayer, outings, and other activities. In all of our meetings, our focus is on developing our relationships with God and with each other utilizing the Bible–the Word of God–as the starting point. As such, we have regular informal meetings to study the Bible in the original languages: Biblical Hebrew and Koine Greek; and we often meet together over lunch to discuss our lives and the presence of Jesus Christ in them.

ABSK stands for Asian Baptist Student Koinonia but is open to anyone interested in fellowship. Any member of the MIT community and their guests are warmly invited to join any of our events. Please contact Jill () if you would like to know more about any of our events, such as our Labor Day Picnic (9/2) or our Meet & Greet next Friday (9/6).
