We are the Graduate Division of MIT Asian Baptist Student Koinonia (ABSK Grad), graduate students dedicated to promoting a discussion-friendly environment for anyone hoping to learn about or grow in the Christian faith. We at ABSK Grad believe in the importance of koinonia, a biblical word meaning “fellowship” — first with God, and also with one another. Whether over a meal, or through activities such as bowling, mini-golf, camping, or just plain hanging out, we seek to experience God on a personal level, sharing in the study of His Word and our experiences of Him together. Wherever you are on your spiritual journey, you’re warmly invited to join us.

Monday 9/5, noon: Labor Day picnic

We’re holding our all-Boston Grad ABSK Labor Day picnic on Monday 9/5, 12-3 pm. The location will be the Charles River Canoe and Kayak area on Soldiers Field Rd. We’ll start with lunch (KFC!!) and afterwards play volleyball, frisbee, or go canoeing (for those who are interested).

We’d love to have you join in on the fellowship. If you’d like to come, please let us know (jillar[at]mit). We’ll be arranging rides from campus; or please feel free to drop by whenever you get a chance!

Saturday 9/3, 7pm: Bible Study

We’re going to kick off the new school year with bible study this Saturday at 7pm in room 4-153. We’ll be meeting with the whole Boston-area Grad ABSK, so this will be a great opportunity to get to know graduate students and young professionals from MIT and around the area and to study the Word of God together. We look forward to meeting you!

Friday 9/2, 4pm: Activities Midway

Visit us and other Christian groups at Activities Midway! We’re looking forward to meeting you!
